The plays explore a variety of intriguing metaphors that highlight themes of loss, deception, manipulation, illusion, fear of discovery, secrecy, and impropriety. Using one of the plays as a pivot, discuss its central metaphor and how it deals with one of these themes. Then show how the two other plays deal with the same theme. Note how the definition of that theme differs according to the controlling metaphor of each play. Be sure to define your terms, especially what you mean by your use of the word designating the theme, Example: what is fear of discovery explicitly in the context of the particular drama.
