a. You know a runaway 15-year-old girl. She is undecided about whether she wants to return home because her father, an alcoholic, is periodically abusive.
b. A friend of your younger sister has announced her plans to drop out of high school and begin an acting/modeling career. Because she looks up to you, the younger girl asks you for guidance.
c. You learn quite by accident that an acquaintance has made an unsuccessful suicide attempt.
d. You are a high school English teacher. A composition written by one of your students is very confused and emotional, but it leads you to believe that the writer may be a long-term victim of sexual abuse at home.
